Absolute Accountant is a modern, virtual accounting firm serving small businesses with bookkeeping, payroll, tax support, and financial clarity. We are not the "enter numbers and disappear into the spreadsheet forest" kind of firm. We work closely with clients to help them understand their numbers, stay compliant, and make better business decisions.
We are growing and looking for a strong Account Manager to step into a key client support and workflow management role within the firm. This position is ideal for someone with solid accounting knowledge, real-world experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage moving pieces without needing constant direction.
We are looking for a high-functioning, dependable person who can take ownership, solve problems, communicate clearly, and help keep client work and internal workflows moving. This role requires someone who is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable being trusted with responsibility.
The Account Manager will help oversee client accounting work, support team members, manage client communication when needed, and serve as an underlying support/replacement for management functions. This person should be comfortable reviewing bookkeeping, working in QuickBooks Online, understanding U.S. payroll and tax basics, and helping ensure client work is accurate, timely, and organized.
We need someone who is flexible, dependable, and available during Central Time business hours, even if the exact schedule is flexible. The right person will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to think through accounting questions without needing constant handholding.
